YOU ARE NOT SHIPWRECKED!

In 1622, a Spanish treasure ship called La Nuestra Señora de Atocha hit a coral reef whilst in a hurricane as it was returning from the Florida Keys back to Spain.

Many lost their lives, and gold, silver, emeralds and coins worth millions were lost to the bottom of the sea. Many centuries passed until 1985 when a ‘treasure hunter’ by the name of Mel Fisher recovered some of this treasure. He discovered over 500 million dollars worth, which was only a tiny portion of what had been lost to the endless sea.

As I read this story, the Lord began to speak to me.

Many of you have been through storms over the last 18 months. You feel like you have hit a coral reef and can’t go any further. Then just as you felt a collision, you got hit by a hurricane.

It just feels like one thing after another, but I hear the Lord saying, “That terrible thing that got in your way to sink you is going to reveal the greatest treasure. You are not shipwrecked!” Says the Lord. “You will not drown, for I will cause a turnaround that will uncover the hidden treasures of darkness. For the enemy intended to destroy you, but even I can make a powerful ocean liner from an old wooden and broken ship!” says the Lord.

“You may feel beaten down, but instead of destruction, you are being shaped into a powerful weapon; you are being moulded into my image and not destroyed! Keep digging!” says the Lord, “Keep digging! Because my abundance in every area of your life is about to be unveiled!”

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
