NEW RIVERS

I saw a picture of a stream in a desert with high river banks. Then I saw the power of the stream begin to mould new pathways in the dirt. Eventually, the riverbanks could no longer hold the river, as it was making new riverbanks and creating new pathways simply due to continuing to stream into the new direction it chose to go.

I heard the Lord saying: "I am making new rivers. I am moving in new directions. Many will resist it and refuse to move where I move, preferring to stay in that which is known.

But there will be a remnant who will follow me and eventually new paths will be formed due to the strength of consistently moving. I want my people not to get comfortable. I want them to go where I go. The established riverbanks are comfortable and contain the river, but I'm building new riverbanks!"

He then went on to say to me, "These old riverbanks represent structures that contained the outworking of my presence. But the old riverbanks can no longer contain where I want to flow. I CANNOT BE CONTAINED! I am creating new streams in the desert!

It will only feel like a remnant first, but the trickle will grow. So do not always look for the large, also look for the small, for that is where I will be working, carving new spaces and places where my glory will dwell".

"Will you go where I lead?" Says the Lord. "Will you lay down old structures to step into the new place I am moving in? It will not be easy. Will you lay down what you know and what now moves with ease to follow the new thing I am doing? Follow my stream and you will not be disappointed! "

Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Is 41:18
I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys. I will fill the desert with pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.
