With a heart to serve the body of Christ and a passion for prophetic and worship, Roma Waterman has been transforming lives around the world since her teens. Her teachings on prophetic living, Christian spirituality, along with music, voice, and worship, have led her to reach people from all walks of life as they seek a closer relationship with Jesus. Now, she’s continuing her mission by sharing her story with more people who need to hear the life-changing message of the power of the Holy Spirit to radically transform hearts and lives.

As a first-generation Australian, Roma was heavily influenced by her Italian immigrant parents and grandparents. She would often listen to her grandfather play the piano and sing songs of his motherland with such love and conviction. In addition to this connection to her heritage, she was also influenced by her time growing up in the church. She not only saw lives transformed, but creative miracles, signs and wonders were a normal part of her church experience. Her desire to grow closer to God grew daily, along with her love for music. What she did with those passions has shaped her life and the lives of so many others.

As a prophetic voice, Roma wears many hats, including being a worship leader and songwriter, speaking, serving as a session vocalist for many television shows, as well as being a vocal coach. Having recorded 7 albums, she has won several international songwriting awards including The Gospel Music Associations Honour award for outstanding contribution to Christian music, and the 2020 Legacy Award in recognition of outstanding contribution and service to media and the arts.

Many of her songs have been in the Top 10 of the Australian Christian Music charts over the course of her ministry. She is also the founder of the Melbourne Gospel Choir, which performs regularly on TV shows across Australia. Also, on TV, she has served as a vocal coach and session singer for shows including The X-Factor and The Voice.

In addition to writing songs, she is also a prolific author. Many of her published works have bcome No.1 best sellers on Amazon. Some of her writings include Releasing Heaven's Song: Singing Over Your Nation For Breakthrough and Revival, The God Artist: The Quest For Supernatural Influence, Unlocking Creative Identity: Carving Your Angel In The Rock, and The Handbook for Working Singers.

Her passion is teaching others through her online school, Heartsong Prophetic Alliance. Through this innovative, online platform Roma is able to offer everyone courses on the prophetic, songwriting, vocal technique, worship leading, how to write your own books, and so much more.

While these roles have all been incredible for Roma’s passion in raising up others, her most prized title has been Mom. However, getting to this place has not been easy. During her early 20s, Roma struggled with endometriosis and fibromyalgia. These painful experiences almost stopped her from being in ministry. Miraculously, she was given an amazing healing experience 5 years after her diagnosis. She loves to declare the goodness of God when she shares of the miraculous conception and birth of her two beautiful kids, Angel and Asa, and loves to pray for others who struggle in this area, where she has seen many healings take place in the lives of others.

Roma’s story is full of God’s power and miracles, but she is also proud to share the struggles she was able to overcome thanks to God’s grace and mercy. She has experienced first-hand the transformative power of faith, and she continues to share that message with others. Whether it’s through spontaneous worship songs, creating a space for others to shine their own lights, or sharing her journey to encourage others to keep going after God’s purpose in their own lives.

Surprisingly, her favorite place is not the platform, but rather her music room, behind the piano, writing. “This is where I feel closest to God”, Roma says. “I feel like downloads from Heaven come in that quiet place. I feel His beckoning to do it more, and it is the place I feel the most comfortable. My greatest hope is that as I mature and grow, my music reflects those moments so that others can experience that sweet presence of God as they listen”.

While she may be a familiar voice in Christian music to many, Roma is also a powerhouse of faith, love, and hope. Her insights and musical abilities have been a blessing that God has used to enrich the lives of many, and she hopes He will continue to do that for many years to come.
